I'm sure the builder (or a successor to them in case of a bankruptcy) will fill the area in. Builders have great financial incentives to finish projects due to the high costs of bonds posted with municipalities for that purpose. Also, builders build, and that's how they make money ... so when the market sucks for $200K homes, the builders will just build $150K ones, and then $100K ones. Don't worry ... given the surrounding homes, that large open section will fill in within 3 years.

Come up here to Cleveland. You'll find lots of empty on the same street that have no siding or copper plumbing anymore!
