These signs were alongside the road in Merced, California. Homes there are starting at $190,000, for your basic first-time buyer. However, they are not selling, because most of the peoples of Merced do not make enough to qualify and if they make more then Merced is a good place to leave. Just my opinion...wouldn't want to offend. Ahem.

This is a sign of the begining of the slide oh the subprime crisis.
You should see the RE signs in Maryland, about 20 miles outside DC. They're everwhere.
Used houses are not selling, and I have yet to see a new development that is more than half sold. The place is WAY overbuilt.
