Bird Be Gone

I have seen some very strange things for my blog, but this one might be the strangest of all.
When I first drove by this place, I thought they were adding a 2nd story but I took a 2nd look and noticed that the wood was pretty thin for a 2nd story. I got out and looked around I couldn't figure it out so I asked a person walking their dog about it. This person told me that the homeowner was mad at a neighbor and this was their way of getting even. Evidently, the City cannot do anything about it since they claim it's to keep the birds away, and there is no law against doing it in a humane way.

This is a humane way.

Imagine trying to sell your home with this guy as a neighbor. Not likely to happen.

I can hear the property values dropping as I view that picture!

Kinda puts the whole "crazy neighbor" thing into perspective....

;)

Yep they are dropping very fast.

This guy doesn't happen to live next door to a dude in California with $70k worth of solar panels by chance?

Sweet, this idea is a keeper. Thanks.

Glad I could help Its not near the solar house.$70,000 worth of panels?
They either have a huge house or it will take forever to get what they have invested back. Have a picture of it? I would love to blog it...

The simple answer here is to see if the homeown..., future evacuee actually pulled the proper permits to make a permanent addition to his home. I can only assumem that the base boards are nailed down. Perhaps code enforcement could harrass this fool into removing the structure. I presume this is in California so there is almost certainly an over opressive nanny state type agency with regulatory control as to building code.

Re: house with 70k in solar panels.

I had seen a number of news articles relating to this story:

http://tinyurl.com/38t8gr

" In a case with statewide significance, the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office is pursuing a Sunnyvale couple under a little-known California law because redwood trees in their backyard cast a shadow over their neighbor's solar panels.

Richard Treanor and Carolynn Bissett own a Prius and consider themselves environmentalists. But they refuse to cut down any of the trees behind their house on Benton Street, saying they've done nothing wrong.

"We're just living here in peace. We want to be left alone," said Bissett, who with her husband has spent $25,000 defending themselves against criminal charges. "We support solar power, but we thought common sense would prevail."

Their neighbor Mark Vargas considers himself an environmentalist, too. His 10-kilowatt solar system, which he installed in 2001, is so big he pays only about $60 a year in electrical bills. He drives an electric car."

This is just a few lines from the article. I presumed it was a highly publicized, and well known, news feature in Cali.

My remark was a sad attempt of me being a smarmy git by suggesting the house with the unique roof attributes was the perfect response to the guy with the solar panels.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the blog.

Mattel is making a special edition Barbie doll based off Tippi Hedren's character in Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller The Birds, right down to her carefully-tousled blond hairdo and tacky '60s pea green outfit.
